Stephanie Huey was a cancer patient at the Clarion Hospital Cancer Center who fought her disease valiantly and with extraordinary grace. Through to the end, she inspired her fellow patients and hospital staff with her cheerful warmth and concern for others, which won her the nickname “Sunshine”. When we conceived the idea for this fund, we felt that naming it "The Sunshine Project" in honor of Stephanie was a way that we could keep her memory alive in a manner that she would value and that would inspire all of us to strive to lessen the burden on those who are fighting cancer.
